The Black Tea's history in Taiwan.
In 19th century, Japanese occupied Taiwan, they shifted the focus in Taiwan to black teas. As a result, Nantou become an important area for producing Black Tea. Also, the The Taiwan Tea Research & Extension Station (TRES) has invested in finding different flavor of tea. The TaiCha No. 18, or Red Jade, that was officially introduced in 1999.

Basic information:
Origin: The most important area of Red Jade Black Tea is at Sun Moon Lake in Nantou mountain area. Which is also the famous spot in Taiwan.

Flavor: Aromatic hints of cinnamon, caramel and mint, fruity(taste like orange and pineapple).
The fermentation level of is Red Jade Black Tea is about 100%.
